My favorite memories from family get-togethers at my grandparents' house are of eating ochazuke (tea + rice) with tsukemono (pickled things) after most of the family had gone home. We'd sit around the dining room table and visit while eating. The warm tea was a perfect end to a day of eating. Now, whenever I have ochazuke, I'm not only warmed by the hot green tea, but by those fond memories.
